The building

Restored, not replaced

A flour mill has stood on this land since 1872, when the railroad came through McKinney and the mill began to flourish. The current brick building rose in 1914 — original hardwood floors and beams, exposed brick, and the industrial equipment that once milled Texas grain still stand today.

We kept what made it special and added what a celebration needs: grain-shoot chandeliers, café lights, and modern comforts woven through the history. It’s a look that cannot be replicated anywhere else.

Our history

More than 150 years in the making

A working flour mill turned gathering place — the short version of a long Texas story.

1840s–50s

A mill on the land

Long before the railroad, mills already stood on this McKinney property — early structures now lost to time, one of them rebuilt as the Old Mill Inn still standing in Dallas’ Fair Park today.

1872

The railroad arrives

Tracks come through McKinney — still visible just outside the front door — and the flour mill truly flourishes, with access to the whole country’s rail markets.

1914 & 1926

Brick & warehouse rise

The current brick mill building is raised in 1914; the warehouse that is now Diamond Hall follows in 1926 — marking its 100th year in 2026.

When we were touring venues, the Flour Mill was the first place that came to mind and, in the end, the only one that stuck. The perfect blend of industrial and rustic.
