Frequently Asked Questions

Answers for teams and hosts planning their next event

How many guests can the McKinney Flour Mill hold?

Diamond Hall seats up to 250 guests, 220 with a dance floor, and holds 400 or more standing. The Secret Garden holds 250 for outdoor ceremonies, and the Speakeasy seats 80 or 288 standing. Most weddings move through all three across the day.

Can we host an outdoor ceremony?

Yes. The Secret Garden is a fully turfed open-air courtyard with a lit stage and cafe lights, holding up to 250 for ceremonies and cocktail hour. It sits alongside the Speakeasy, so cocktail hour can move indoors without relocating your guests.

Do you work with couples from Frisco, Plano and Allen?

Yes, and a large share of our couples come from across North Dallas. The Mill sits in Downtown McKinney directly across from City Hall, roughly 20 minutes from Frisco, 25 from Plano and 15 from Allen.

What makes the Speakeasy different from the main hall?

The Speakeasy, known locally as Prohibition, is a hidden 1920s basement with original wood beams, a century-old antique bar and the mill's original safe. It seats 80 or holds 288 standing, and works best for rehearsal dinners, after-parties and cocktail receptions.

How much do weddings at the Mill cost?

Weddings typically start between $5,500 and $8,500, depending on the day of the week and time of year. Reach out for a personalized quote based on your date and guest count.

How long does a tour take?

Tours run 45 to 60 minutes.
